Happy Monday folks! I wanted to officially post my first blog entry for WAFF sports! Why a blog you may ask? And I say why not! I’ve wanted to do this since the end of the college football season last year, and knew that I would get it up and running as we start the 2012-2013 season.
What will you find on this blog? EVERYTHING. Of course I will focus on what I get paid for and that’s the happenings in sports, but we will have fun with things in pop culture, posted videos and just as I would like to call acts of randomness.
So lets start with today… WAFF’s own Scott Theisen has been down in Birmingham for today’s annual SWAC Media Days, and will have a full rundown of the event tonight at 6 and 10 on WAFF 48 news. Looks Like Alabama A&M will once again have to prove doubters wrong in the SWAC Eastern Division, as Alabama State was picked to finish first in the division. Still the Bulldogs have a number of student athletes picked on the preseason All Conference teams.

There’s also the “EVENT” as I like to call it, that gets underway on Tuesday… SEC MEDIA DAYS! There will be what seems to be thousands of media types and fans heading to Hoover and the Wynfrey hotel to talk football. Here’s a rundown of what teams will appear July 17-19th:

I’m excited as heck to get the college football season going once again, will Alabama return for yet another BCS National Title Game ? I, for sure wont bet against that, since I did pick…LSU to win last season 34-13… How’d that turnout, Carl?
Since then, Honey Badger & AJ McCarron Twitter Trash Talking War, took off, with the Badger saying last week that he’s the best defensive player in the country… So… can November 3rd get here soon enough?
